I’m excited to announce that starting in 2014 I’ll be hosting a no-cover jazz combo every First Saturday at the Black Fox Lounge (1723 Conn Ave NW) from 9:30pm until 12:30am.
The WED Jazz Trio includes Dave Kane on keys, Ed Hrybyk on bass, and me on drums — and we will be joined by a different special guest artist each month.
In January, we were joined by saxophonist Tedd Baker, and coming up this Saturday, February 1st, we will be joined by vocalist Lena Seikaly.
Thereafter, we have an outstanding line-up of special guests:
- Saturday, March 1st — JS Williams on trumpet
- Saturday, April 5th — Victor Provost on steel pan
- Saturday, May 3rd — Geoff Reecer on guitar
- Saturday, June 7th — Seth Kibel on clarinet/sax/flute
