Please come out to the Black Fox Lounge for “First Saturday” in March (the 1st) as trumpeter JS Williams joins the band for a special night of hot, swinging jazz. JS can be seen all around town and was recently named Best Trumpet in the Washington CityPaper “Jazzies,” among many other accolades.
Rounding out the band are excellent musicians Kenny Peagler on keys and Ed Hrybyk on bass.

I’m excited to announce that starting in 2014 I’ll be hosting a no-cover jazz combo every First Saturday at the Black Fox Lounge (1723 Conn Ave NW) from 9:30pm until 12:30am.
The WED Jazz Trio includes Dave Kane on keys, Ed Hrybyk on bass, and me on drums — and we will be joined by a different special guest artist each month.
In January, we were joined by saxophonist Tedd Baker, and coming up this Saturday, February 1st, we will be joined by vocalist Lena Seikaly.
